Lawrence L. Wang, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Lawrence Wang joined Dermatological Care in 2005. He was born in Boston, MA and raised in Columbia, MO where he grew up a fan of the Missouri Tigers. He attended Harvard University and graduated magna cum laude as a biochemistry major in 1993. Dr. Wang earned his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Washington University School of Medicine in 2001. His Ph.D. thesis studied the role of inhibitory receptors on natural killer cells. He then completed his dermatology residency at Washington University and Barnes Hospital before joining Dermatological Care.
Dr. Wang is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. He also serves as a Clinical Instructor in the Division of Dermatology at Washington University. He practices general dermatology and treats most skin conditions and growths in adults and children. Dr. Wang also surgically removes benign skin lesions and skin cancers. When he is not practicing dermatology, Dr. Wang spends time with his wife and three boys (10, 6, 2) and enjoys all kinds of sports, including ultimate frisbee. He is also an avid runner and recently qualified to run the Boston Marathon.
